You can see what the rain is doing to the river. This flows through Oklahoma right by us. We were lucky today, though. No rain!

This is a view at the city park today. Soon after this the rain came back. It's supposed to rain the rest of the week. I don't remember seeing this much rain in June before. The nice thing is that it keeps the temperature low. Usually, it gets up to 100 by now, but today it was in the low 70's

band camp
I spent most of my day in Russellville today to see my son at band camp. This is the band I went to see. Not the best shot, but it proves that I was there. :)

As you can see, the rain is finally gone. There really was a tornado yesterday. Many houses were destroyed, but no one was hurt.

We had a storm this morning -- heard that there was a tornado north of here, but don't know yet if that's true. As you can see, I couldn't drive through this way. :)

world series
We're hosting part of the Babe Ruth World Series this summer. We did that last summer, so I guess they liked it. It's fun to see teems from all around the country. Looking forward to it.

There was some kind of motorcycle show downtown today. There seems to be something new every week. It's never boring. :)

VBS
I noticed this balloon as I drove down a hill today. It was too far away to read it, though, so I decided to find out. The closer I got, the easier it was to see --- it says VBS. It was floating from the top of my church. VBS stands for "vacation bible school." It will be going on next week.
You can also see that we still have cloudy skies -- I've forgotten what the sun looks like. :)

I've always liked trains. My Grandfather and Great-grandfather worked on the Missouri-Pacific line. Trains have always been an important thing in Van Buren.

I was surprised to see this in my back yard yesterday. This rose bush rarely blooms, so when it does, it's quite an event.
