On the way to down town I now see this -- a better view of the hill back behind this house. There used to be a garage here, but it has been torn down. I kind of hope that nothing new is built there.
Another day without a photo. Instead, I'll have something video-wise. This is me playing my own music on my piano. It was first seen with a tanka on my other blog, Past Tense, a few days ago.
The art teacher at our school did a program based on the ancient Egyptians. She made this, among many other things, and it stands in the corner of her class. It's as tall as me, so maybe I should use one of these when the time comes. :)
Today is the first day that I saw one of the new robins. This was the best picture I could get, but I'm looking forward to when all of them are born. I have to be careful, though, because I don't want to bother them.
We had sunlight for a while. As you can see, the dark clouds rolled in this afternoon. It hasn't stopped raining since then. I can't complain, though. We aren't having any flood problems and we're not having the fire problems, like in other places.
Once again - spending my night at the baseball field. This is a game that was going on behind me. There's around 10 fields there. Looking at the sky, you can see that the bad weather hasn't backed off at all.
They're setting up the rides for this weekend's Main Street Festival. It's fun to look at it, but I don't think I'm brave enough to get on a ride that was just put together and will soon be taken apart. :)
Finally, sunshine! We've had storms and rain for a few days, even this morning, but it started to clear off this afternoon. Hopefully we'll dry out some.
We were supposed to go to the high school track today with the school kids, but as you can see, the weather ended that. This photo was taken right before the rain started. It never stopped until tonight.
I've always been fascinated by things like this --- windows covered up. Is it keeping us from seeing something, or is it keeping people inside from seeing outside? Who knows?
The bad weather doesn't seem to want to leave. This is what it looked like coming over the bridge from Ft. Smith to Van Buren. Not a great shot, but I was going pretty fast. :)
I'm playing the instrument of the week. Getting better with it. I can now play the Flintstones theme song on it. I try to do that on all instruments that I show them -- now I can do it on 22 different instruments. I need to put that on my resume. :)
O.K. It rained all day today and there was nothing worth taking a photo of, so I'll use another geese photo. I couldn't help it - when I got started, I took lots of them :)
